Item details

This is such an engaging advertisement from the twenties. A mother and daughter are playing with their reflections in the bottom of a pan, made shiny by the amazing Bon Ami pads. I love the family, but also all the little details of the items on the table and the fashions.

This is a very large, full page ad, measuring 10" X 14". (People had longer arms them.) This particular magazine started it's life in New York, in a household of a "family of privilege". For what ever reason, the woman kept the magazine, and gave it to me when I was working in a theater in Florida. It traveled to the opposite corner of the US, to Washington, and is now ready for it's next journey. Modern Priscella was a very stylish home maker's magazine, that had fashion and decorating hints, as well as short stories.

These items are in very good vintage condition. There has been some yellowing with age, and some ads have corners with some minor dog earring, and there might be a few tiny tears on the edges. But the colors are vibrant and crisp, and when framed, they will be a show stopper!

This item will be packed with care, and shipped plastic wrapped to card board to protect during shipping.

As always, your shipping charge will be what the post office prints on the stamp for parcel post. If I quoted high, even on multi-item purchases, I will refund you the difference back to your paypal account. If I quoted low- you've got a deal!

Your item will be shipped within 7 days. I recycle all of my shipping boxes and even some envelopes, as well as 97% of the packing material. Since it is Seattle, I often use Starbuck's boxes, and because I have a commercial bakery in my home, you might see a chocolate box or two. If you have concerns with my reusing these boxes, please communicate it, and I am sure I can find another source for your purchase.
I ship USPS, generally parcel post. I estimate the postal charge when I list an item. If I charged you too little, lucky you! I will pay the rest. If I charged more than Parcel Post fees, I will opt for faster delivery if the amount covers that price. Any amount over will be refunded back to you if you paid by PayPal. Even if it's two cents. It's just what I do.

I always get orders sent out within 7 days. It is usually 2-3 days.
Insurance is only used on larger, or more breakable items, and it is mentioned in those specific items. If you wish to have insurance, mention it in the buyer's notes. Often , the price can be covered with the amount you paid in shipping. If it is more, I can always send you a bill via PayPal.
After I have sent off the package, I will send you a note to confirm.

International Buyers – Please Note:

* Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying. Other information a seller may wish to include: These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as gifts.

Payments

I accept USPS money orders and PayPal. For money orders, please leave a note in the buyer's comments. I expect payment to be arranged at the time of purchase. If that's not possible, contact me first, and I am sure we can work something out.

Lastly, if you wake up one morning and realize, "I just spent the rent on Etsy", and wish to cancel the sale, contact me, and everything will be all right.

Things happen, and it's all apart of doing business.

Returns & exchanges

I want you to be as excited when you open the box as the moment you purchased it. If it isn't what you were thinking, contact me and I will make sure you end this transaction satisfied. If the item arrives broken, I might ask you to present me with a photo of the damage, but then return the cost of the item and shipping for that item.
At 2950 sales, I have had 3 items lost in the mail. If you have waited what you feel is a reasonable time, please contact me, and I'll go through my tracking to see if there is anything I can do.

Additional policies

I love to ship internationally, so contact me about any item and I'll add your country to the shipping options. On out of country purchases, only PayPal can be used as a form of payment.
