This is a green jade pendant or focal bead that I created to preserve some of the natural features of a rough piece of jade. I cut and polished this jade bead from a piece of Washington jade. It was a rough piece that was broken off of a large piece with fractures. It shows some of the natural form of the breaks, has some fractures, but has a nice green color and is translucent.
I decided not to throw it away, but to create a pendant bead from the piece and preserve some of the natural features of raw jade. It is 1 ⅜ inches long, ⅝ inch wide and ⅜ inch at the thickest point, and is wedge shaped.
The hole is 3.5-4 mm. You will enjoy designing one of your wonderful necklaces around this jade bead.
