Important information regarding use of the files: -The images shown on etsy are low resolution and include a watermark. They will not print properly. The ones you purchase will be high resolution and will not have a watermark. - The file downloads are compressed due to the fact that high quality digital images are rather large. You will need 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/download.html), a free program, or something similar to "decompress" them. - All files are 12"X1" 300 DPI (high resolution). They may be resized but, obviously, will change shape and also warp if the ratio of height to width is changed. In these cases you can crop the image inside whatever software you are using. Each individual scallop is exactly 1 inch. If you are working with sizes smaller than 12" you can either crop the image and leave them that size or resize it and reduce the size. This allows you to have multiple "looks" from a single image. - I have noticed that my own digital scrapbooking software (mymemories) pops up a warning message about an inadequate resolution for any pixel height or width less than 3600. These files are borders and would interfere with the other elements on your pages if I unnecessarily made them that wide. Please disregard these types of warnings. Your images will print fine. - I have also noticed that both my own images and those I have purchased from others do not recolor properly in mymemories 7 if they are all white or all black. I have included gray images which seem to work much better. In image software such as GIMP (https://www.gimp.org) you can simply do a "select by color" and then use the paint bucket to fill with your new color. - .png files intentionally have a transparent background and are probably the ones you want to use for digital scrapbooking, card making, etc. My mymemories software also pops a warning message regarding the transparency in these files not being compatible with all features of the software. In some cases you'll be able to use jpgs instead. In other cases you will need to switch to more sophisticated graphics editing software such as GIMP (https://www.gimp.org) or photoshop. - .jpg files have a solid background (white in the case of these files). This is the file format commonly used on webpages. This format can also be used in your digital scrapbooking software although the white background may look odd if your page background is not also white.
