This fabric image is from a batik by Carol and hails the earth energy as the horse emerges and is caught by wind currents. The interconnection of all things is portrayed here in this batik with elements from below the earth becoming part of the rising energy. The horse shimmers in nature's light. The photo on the far right shows me beginning to paint wax on the fabric with a tool called a tjanting. This tool has a brass bowl with a spout that is used to create wax lines that will resist the dye. the first image closely shows the appearance of the 8" x 12" for $9.00 the second shows the 12" x 16" double mirror option for $16.00. Anyone loving the earth, the wind and horses will love to own this elegant batik fabric. It may be made into a quilt accent or framed.
The fabric, titled "Horse Rises From the Earth" is also available in a 12" x 36" panel which is a fascinating mirror image it is custom printed for me by Spoonflower on a fine cotton fabric.
