This is very high quality Block D AAA+/AAAA Grade Tanzanite. This is a rather large gemstone and is specifically meant for that one person who is currently or has been searching for a larger museum quality tanzanite gemstone.
The stone measures 14 x 12 x 7 mm and weighs a whopping 10.20 carats! This is an EXTRA LARGE PIECE OF VERY HIGH QUALITY TANZANITE!!!
With its super intense deep azure blue saturation, extraordinary clarity (IF-VVS-1) and large size, this stone would make a beautiful ring in either the horizontal or vertical position, a pendant or any other form of jewelry.
Tanzanite is now the third officially recognized birthstone for December. This is the only new gemstone that has made it on the list of gemstones for birth months since the early 1900's. It would also make a stunning piece of birthstone jewelry.
Tanzanite, especially larger gemstones of very high quality (taking into account the color saturation, cut, clarity, amount of pleochroism, and stone size in carats) are currently running $800-$1200 PER CARAT and some sell for even higher than that. The larger the carat weight, the higher the cost is on a PER CARAT basis. The values I quoted are the average range for 10 carat AAA+/AAAA near flawless gemstones. And because the mine is no longer producing gem quality tanzanite, the prices are expected to skyrocket. It is estimated by experts that tanzanite could reach $10,000 PER carat or even higher since there is no more material left in the ground. Additionally there are no other mines in the world and it is estimated that there is less than a one in a million chance of ever discovering another mine because of the unique geological conditions required to produce tanzanite. It is now referred to as a "generational gemstone" and a "geological phenomenon" because of its scarcity. Tanzanite will quickly become "heirloom" pieces as our descendants probably will never even see tanzanite in jewelry stores.
The price I am offering this piece for is well below its estimated appraisal value and you will never find another piece of this very high quality gemstone for anywhere near the price I am offering it for. If you happen to find one, be very very careful as it more than likely will be lab created, color enhanced and possibly even a different blue gemstone altogether being sold as tanzanite. The reason I can offer it below market value is that I purchased a large tanzanite parcel a few decades ago when the market was tanking and nobody was investing in anything especially gemstones and the prices dropped drastically. I obtained a 150 carat parcel of Block D material of varying sizes and cuts at a ridiculously low price.
All the experts, ie. jewelers, geologists, gemologists, gemstone investors and other professionals are all in agreement that this gemstone material has only one way to go as far as value and pricing is concerned and that is UP, UP AND AWAY INTO THE STRATOSPHERE!!!

All items purchased from my shop carry a 30 day warranty. Any item found to be damaged within 30 days of original receipt date will either be replaced (if possible) or a refund given for the full purchase price including shipping costs. PLEASE NOTE: Items that are deemed to be damaged by improper handling or cleaning on the part of the purchaser are not covered under this warranty. It is highly advised that you inspect your gemstone or jewelry piece very carefully immediately upon receipt because after the thirty day warranty period expires from the original receipt date, I cannot issue any refunds or exchanges for any purchase of any kind. This is in part due to the large number of attempted scams that force me to strictly adhere to this policy. I have included some tips and pointers below to aid you in taking better care of your merchandise and specific cleaning techniques to help minimize potential damage occurring to your jewelry or gems. Many of my gemstone jewelry items can be fragile if not protected from knocks and bumps due to their hardness scores on the Moh's scale. Care must be taken by the buyer to protect against damage especially rings as they are the type of jewelry most susceptible to damage and softer, more brittle gemstones, for example, opals and gemstones with lower Moh's numbers. Care must also be taken when cleaning certain gemstones. Never use ANY harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaning on ANY items purchased from my shop. Using plain mild soap and warm water with an ultra soft toothbrush is the best cleaning method. This will help avoid damage to the gemstones used in creating some of my jewelry items and the gemstones themselves. If you have any additional questions on how to take care of and protect your specific gemstone or jewelry piece, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be more than happy to share my knowledge with you. ENJOY YOUR PURCHASE!!!!
