Stroke Survivor - frameable 4"x6" cross-stitch PATTERN - INSTANT DOWNLOAD .pdf
This is a digital file
I originally made this for a badass friend of mine. A mutual friend suggested the message and design - STROKE SURVIVOR with the red stroke awareness ribbon in the shape of a heart. Strokes are brutal, and they can strike without warning. Simply surviving them takes luck as well as strength, courage, and prompt medical care. In case you haven't already, please memorize the FAST course of action to identify a stroke:
Face - Is it uneven? Is a smile lopsided?
Arm - Is one weaker than the other?
Speech - Is it slurred?
Time - Call 911 immediately if you suspect a stroke!
My hat's off to stroke survivors. I am grateful to the friends, family, and medical professionals who save lives by recognizing the signs of a stroke. I hope this pattern spreads awareness as well as recognition. <3

Stitching can be wonderfully therapeutic. Remember: you get to stab something over and over and over without doing harm.
