This "scrap relief" sheet is true vintage and printed "Made in W. Germany" (this term was used between 1946- about 1990) and this sheet dates probably to the 1950's/60's. It is, just like the modern day reproductions, reproduced from Victorian-era designs that were made over 100 years ago.
This approx. 6" W x 9" L sheet offers one large beautifully embossed Victorian girl holding a bouquet with her dog jumping at it. The second piece if of roses. large piece measures approx. 8.25" H x 5.25" W. The pieces are connected by paper "bridges" or "ladders" as is traditional. Simply make a few cuts to separate an image and start having fun!
These pieces look beautiful on cards, gift tags, in scrapbooks, in collages, decoupaged onto paper mache' or wood objects, attached to wrapped gifts, home decor projects, party decor, etc. Use your creativity!

HISTORY OF EMBOSSED DIE CUTS: Also known as "scraps", these gorgeous Victorian age die-cut paper images began in the mid 1800's with the invention of chromolithography which allowed mass production of quality colored images to be printed. Most of the production took place in Berlin, Germany but spread to other cities and countries by 1900.
