Item details

This listing is for a PDF pattern not the finished product.

The Brooklyn Watchmen Hat is your go to hat, winter or summer nights. The brim doubles up over the ears and can be pulled down for that slouchy style. This hat covers a bunch of techniques (see below). If you are newer to the craft prepare to watch a few how-to videos or visit your local yarn shop or knitter friends.

Perfect for the beginner knitter looking for a fun challenge or the experienced knitter in need of the quick satisfaction that comes with finishing a versatile piece in a couple of hours! This hat looks great on men as well.

PATTERN DETAILS & TECHNIQUES USED

✄ Includes 3 photos total, all of the finished garment.

✄ Row by row instruction and an abbreviation dictionary.

✄ I use the Tubular Cast On method. It consists of three steps. The cast on row can be tough, requiring you to try again. I must say this finish is so worth the effort. Hands Occupied on You Tube does an amazing job showing how its done.

✄ This hat is knit in the round. You will join a round, shape the crown with decreases and close the top.

✄ With this pattern you can make all the color combos you see in the listing photographs.

YARN

✄ Patons “Classic Wool Roving”; 100% Wool; 120 yds/100 grams. 1 ball each of each color.

MEASUREMENTS

✄ To fit 20 to 22" head around.

FAQs

Let your garment soak in cool water for 5 to 20 minutes. Air on the side of cold. I like hypo-allergenic woolen solvents like Eucalan or Woolite. Rinse under cool water and squeeze out the excess water. Lay flat on a clean surface to dry.
