FAQs

I'm more than happy to add extra pages, custom pages and images to my diaries, journals and notebooks, just ask me

Most of my hand sewn books can have different external stitching colors, I'll be happy to swap the stitching for you and it doesn't increase my processing time.

The books that I publish are all available wholesale - bookshops can request special deals, as can individuals ordering more than one thing. (MULTIBUY10 gives a 10% discount if you buy more than one book of any type from me)

I can always try, but this may take a little longer and isn't always possible/ the cheapest option for you, but I can point you in the direction of dealers with a larger stock than mine.

A first edition is the original printing set up. I'll always tell you the print/ batch number. For example, my Britannia Mews is a first edition, but a 4th imprint or printing. It is the original, unchanged version, but the 4th time it was re-printed. I always describe this fully in the description.

Winnie is my great grandmother, and I suspect the origin of our family's obsession with books. As far as I know she had very loving parents, but they would not buy her books. This is probably because in the early 1900's books were considered a luxury and as such were not high up the list of things to spend the scarce income on. Winnie would win books from her school for penmanship, behavior, needle craft etc. She passed her love and respect for books to my maternal grandmother and she to my own mother. My mother and I have both had a dream of a bookshop of our own.

The Reading Room Cafe Project aims, eventually, to be a tea shop and book-bar that will stock indie titles and host book signings for any writer who wishes to come along. We want to showcase all sorts of other talent too, like comedy, music and drama. It is also involved in the Reading Room Cafe Project Publishing. more info here http://readingroomprojects.wixsite.com/competitionpages/us
