Peanut Wood is a rare, stunning petrified drift-wood from the Kennedy Range in Western Australia, approximately 100 miles from the coastal town of Carnavon.l This unusual petrified wood contains "peanuts" produced by marine clams that love to eat driftwood. The holes are filled with a siliceous ooze that accumulates and eventually becomes fossilized. The geological formation dates the material at approximately 120 million years old. No current mining is reportedly allowed and pieces can only be picked up on the surface after heavy rains, making quality material difficult to obtain, As with most petrified wood, the material may have small pits and / or cracks.

Metaphysical: Petrified wood calms survival based fears and makes one feel safe and secure that everything will turn out all
right.

About
For the past 30 years I have cut and polished my own cabochons and made sterling silver jewelry for sale at small craft and gem and mineral shows in the western US. At age 74 I now realize I cannot make jewelry from all the cabochons I have cut and therefore, I am offering some of my special cabs for sale.
