Item details

The Oregon Wood Worker(r) is first in bringing to its customers continuing product development and increased technology for its Handcrafted Yarn Swifts(tm). With Swift N Count(tm) you can swift and also measure the yarn length at the same time. Swift N Count(tm) with Electronic Built-in Counter(tm) allows yarn and thread handlers to very accurately measure the length of the yarn in their skein and as they create a skein from a cone/ ball or other source. This will allow you to measure the yarn yardage from extra yarn left over from projects that you can use for other projects. It can also measure the yarn yardage from a skein that is being swifted into a pull-string yarn ball, if the skein is held tightly on the swift.

The Industrial Grade Electronic Counter has a Five Year Warranty on it. With normal use, it will last 5-10 years. When you purchase our swifts, you are guaranteed Excellent Customer Support and Free Replacement Pegs for the Life Of Your Swift. The swift can also be used either vertically or horizontally.

The Electronic Built-in Counter(tm) handles all counting needs by counting in both directions without making any changes or adjustments. You can create a skein on the Swift N Count(tm), coming from a ball, cone or other source and measure the yardage. Then, immediately swift the skein into one or more pull-sting yarn balls and measure the yardage for each of the yarn balls as you are doing it. It make it easy to divide one skein into multiple yarn balls while measuring the yarn yardage. The Mama Bear(tm) Swift N Count(tm) with Electronic Built-in Yarn Counter(tm) can also do swifting in both directions. The counter comes with a nice reset button. By a simplly pushing the reset button, you can reset the counter to zero to prepare for measuring the next skein or yarn distance. The counter counts revolution of yarn and skeins that are in pre-measured peg holes. Simply by multiplying the number of revolutions by the pre-measured peg hole you can determine accurately the yarn yardage. The Electronic Built-in Yarn Counter(tm) works for any weight of yarn or thread-there is no limitation on the size of yarn or thread. The yarn does not run through a measuring or counting device. The arms on the Mama Bear(tm) have been calibrated to measure several exact yard distances. You will really enjoy using the Mama Bear(tm) Swift N Count(tm) with Electronic Built-in Yarn Counter(tm). The Royal Replacement Ball Winder is an exact duplicate of the Royal with two improvements. You will love using them together.
