This pattern is the result of collaboration over a number of months with a wonderful dyer and fellow etsy seller, Epicurus/Lazy Perry Ranch. We are both members of etsyFAST and used each of our strengths to create the beautiful shawls shown in the pictures.
This pattern was written especially to work with yarns dyed by her. The yarn used in the pictures is 100 % wool and was dyed specifically to give the color changes shown in a single skein. You can purchase the yarn in color ways designed for this pattern at
or special order your own color way from her by special order.
This triangular shawl’s final shawl size is approximately 70” across the neck edge and 30” down the center back. The pattern includes directions for two different shawls: a simpler shawl containing only the smallest diamonds and the more complicated pattern shown in the pictures. The directions for the simpler shawl are written out as well as graphed while the more complicated pattern is only graphed. The lace edging along the bottom is written and graphed out.
This pattern requires approx. 800 yards of sport or aran weight yarn, size 7 (4.5 mm) knitting needles, and a yarn needle to run the ends in.
The more complicated pattern is for Advanced Intermediate knitter while the basic pattern could be done by and Advanced Beginner. Stitches include knit, purl, yarn over, slip 1 stitch, knit two together, ‘slip 1 – knit 1 – pass slipped stitch over’ as well as variants based on the last two.
Purchase of pattern includes email support and pattern updates. A pdf file of the pattern will be emailed within 24 hours of completed payment. Please note: e-checks can take 3-4 days to clear.
Pattern is intended for personal use only and is not to be commercially exploited in any way.
