Hand spun merino yarn in red, shading from Madeira wine to Rosé and all shades in between, soft and luscious! Suitable for knitting, crocheting, weaving or felting. The colours occur randomly throughout but are grounded by the solid red of one strand in the ply. I find that the wool is smooth enough to not irritate my skin. The average number of wraps per inch is 10, making the wool equivalent to DK. There are slight variations in the thickness of the yarn.
I try to accurately photograph the colours, but know that some screens are better than others at reproducing them correctly. If you are unsure, please contact me and I will happily send you a sample of the yarn.
There are three skeins; dimensions in total are:
Length - 324 m (354 yds) Weight - 200 g (7 oz) WPI - average 10 (roughly DK)
Care: Gentle handwash in lukewarm water. Rinse, and dry flat in shade. Do not agitate the wool, or it may felt!
