I'm a ceramic artist from NY and All my stamps made by me in my studio located in New Jersey, USA.
Handmade pottery stamp tools for any types of clay!
I'm creating my claytools from grolleg porcelain:
1. Pottery Stamps
2. Textured Slab Molds
3. Press Tools
Designer stamps give artists more choices when designing on ceramics!
Use these press tools made of grolleg porcelain to stamp incised designs into rolled-out clay. The smaller designs are also ideal for stamping clay beads, pendants and tiles that can be used in jewelry making.
I'm using only grolleg porcelain to create press tools, because this type of porcelain not sticking with the aluminium forms I used to make my stamps. The aluminum form is made on 3D CNC router machine. The shapes and images that I can make on that machine are nearly unlimited.
To care for your Pottery Texture stamp
- Do clean with a little cold water and soft tooth brush
- Do press strait in or with slight rocking motion for best results
- After clay is dry it is OK to use a needle tool to pick out clay
- Do keep the stamp out of the slop bucket or sink
- Do NOT let the stamp soak in hot water
- Do NOT put in a dishwasher
- Do NOT use solvents to clean
- Do NOT drop on concrete floors
My stamps are absolutely non-sticky ... but.. If clay does stick, clean it out with water and a soft toothbrush. A needle tool can be used, but be careful not to apply too much pressure. Once the stamp is wet, you will probably need to use one of the release methods above (talc, oil, corn starch) to prevent further sticking or let the stamp dry out first.
