This is the updated pattern for the My Little Crochet Dolls.
The pattern shows you how to create my award winning dolls and along side the written instructions and photo tutorials it also has YouTube tutorials that show you the more difficult parts of the pattern. It's a doll pattern that is easy to make yet has lots of scope for imagination.
The pattern is for an experienced crocheter, but if you're a beginner remember I'm happy to help and give email support. It's written as simply as I know how and uses mostly single crochet stitches, worked in continuous rounds. It's designed to be adjustable for all ages. The hair colour is worked into the head so very young children don't have hair to chew on. Longer hair can be hooked on afterwards as the child grows.
It comes with two body styles, one with a simple straight body and the other with a curved shapely body. There are pipe cleaners in the arms making them poseable but these can be left out if you prefer also the dolls have knee joints which helps them to sit nicely.
The dolls clothes fit great, the duffle coat has a hat that fits and pockets that do the job. The vest can be turned into a t-shirt or sports bra. The doll has underpants and socks so more modest than most shop bought dolls!
All in all a beautiful doll suitable for everyone.
The updated pattern includes more photo instructions, pattern corrections and some advanced techniques on painting faces and using brushable mohair.
A bit more about the doll and pattern:
- He/She is 15" tall - Two body types, a curvy and straight body - Hair built in to the scalp for young children who might otherwise chew stranded hair - Knee joints - Poseable arms - The option of simple safety eyes or more advanced painted eyes - Video tutorials (search for My Little Crochet Doll on YouTube to see them) - The doll is designed to be either male or female - because of the patterning in the scalp long hair can be added later or replaced when needed.
Alongside this pattern are free downloadable patterns available on my website, www.bettyvirago.com

Very nice tutorial! The instructions are clear, the images are high quality, and bonus points for the awesome free Youtube videos to help with making the doll. Thank you so much for making this pattern!!!
