I have a soft spot for these colors. Please save me, before I keep this yarn for myself and pretend I will have time for all the projects in my Ravelry queue.
Hand painted/dyed in my smoke-free home, this yarn combines a complex array of colors reminiscent of autumn, vineyards, aubergine and earth. It has an aged, mellow, raspberry oak flavor, with a nose like perfectly ripened bocci balls.
Wait. That's not right. I think I'm getting my senses confused.
Let me be clear: I would not recommend eating this yarn. Sniffing it is okay, though it does still smell a little sheepy. It's not an unpleasant smell, really. The colors are a deep eggplant (purple), olive green, a rusty maroon, some oranges and lighter greens, and all kinds of colors in between.
The yarn I use is 100% merino wool from a women's cooperative in Uruguay, and is an amazingly soft triple ply yarn. Makes great longies, thick socks, delicious sweaters - anything you can think of. Worsted weight, 218 yards per skein.
Only one skein left! Please request center pull ball or skein when you check out (I'll wind it at no additional cost if you prefer).
