Our How To Make a Needle Felted Tree tutorial will demonstrate how to make a wool tree using dry needle felting techniques. This is a quick and easy project and a great way to use up leftover wool roving or batting. The step by step photo instructions will demonstrate how to create your base tree color and then how to needle felt decorative details on to that base. In this case, you will be needle the base wool on to the foam tree where it will remain.
Tools & Supplies
• 6” foam cone for short tree or 10” cone for tall tree
• Approximately ½ ounce for short or 1 ounce for tall sheep’s wool roving or batting plus more for multi color decorative accents
• Single felting needles – we prefer Tulip regular and fine felting needles
• Optional: Clover multi needle tool - for this project, we like working with a single felting needle
Please note this is a PDF tutorial only. No fiber, felting needles, foam ball, or other materials are included in the listing. The finished wool bowls shown in the photos is for demonstration purposes only.
