If you're using Silhouette Studio, the Basic users will use the JPG (if available) or the .Studio file (if available). If Basic users are using the JPG, the trace tool would need to be utilized to be able to obtain an actual cut file of the purchased file. If you're using Silhouette Studio, Designer/Business you should be able to use the SVG or the .Studio file, whichever is available. If you're using Cricut DS, the best option would be to use the vector option, SVG. Most other cutters will use the SVG.
The easiest option would be to pull the files directly onto your desktop and move them to where you would normally place your cut files.
Login to your Cricut account Click 'Create New Project' (Large blue square button) On the sidebar, click 'Upload Image' (Vertical toolbar on the left) Click 'Vector Upload' Click 'Browse' Find the SVG file located on your computer, click to select the file and click 'Open'
Open Silhouette Studio Click File > Import > Import to Library Find the DXF file (from the folder your purchased) located on your computer > Select file The file will be placed into our 'My Own Designs' folder in your library You can then open the file directly from 'My Own Designs
DXF files (3D Object) consist of (unfilled) lines. Create compound path by selecting the object(s)> right click> Create Compound Path. Position the letters as you're needing them, then weld by Right Clicking > Weld
