Item details

I Love Samplers was machine embroidered onto a piece of wool felt and then cut into a heart shape.
I then stitched a Blanket Stitch around it and embellished by hand using Feather Stitches, French Knots, and little seed beads. I added a small clay heart button to heart medallion, a little wood scissor charm and antique tatted lace trim put on with a Chain Stitch.
I then appliqued it onto a piece of red wool felt and stuffed it full of quilt batting and using a Blanket Stitch around the outside edges turned it into a wonderful little pillow that you could prop on a shelf, add to a sampler display or use as a pincushion.
It measures approximately 5 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches.
I loved making this pillow/pincushion and hope you will enjoy it as well...
It's sure to be treasured for a long time. Perfect little gift for stitcher who loves samplers.

Additional policies

After owning a "brick and morter shop" for 24 years, I am aware of many items that stitchers love and search for. My home has 3 storage areas full of items that I still have on hand after closing my retail shop. Each day, I try to open at least one box and am constantly discovering new items. I will post as they are found. I also work 2-4 days a month at a needlework shop in Trenton, Florida. I found that I really missed talking with other stitchers.
