Casual round neck retro style raglan top SEWING PATTERN with bound edges and two sleeve options.
We all do it, make something, love it, wear it to death.
The RETRO RAGLAN is one of those shapes, a classic. Relaxed through the body with darts at the shoulder to add shape and tapered sleeves you can cut in 3/4 length as shown or full. You have the option of self fabric bindings for the neck, cuffs and hem or a pre-cut and folded bias binding.
A simple and comfortable shape that's quick to make and highly addictive.
The RETRO RAGLAN sewing pattern is available in Australian sizes 10-16 (For international customers there is a size conversion chart listed on my website www.themakersjournal.blogspot.com)
Size 10 - Bust 86cm, Waist 68cm, Hip 98cm
Size 12 - Bust 91cm, Waist 73cm, Hip 103cm
Size 14 - Bust 96cm, Waist 78cm, Hip 108cm
Size 16 - Bust 101cm, Waist 83cm, Hip 113cm
I made my photo sample from a medium weight french terry but the pattern can be cut in the lightest of jersey through to heavy weight fleece. If using a bulky brushed fleece I recommend going up a size. The pattern suits both plain and printed fabrics and I recommend using 100% cotton, cotton elastane or viscose elastane blends.
I print my SEWING PATTERNS onto 100% recycled paper and then seal the contents to make sure they arrive safely.
This pattern includes.....
- Step by step sewing instructions
- Detailed diagrams to help you along the way
- A small fabric swatch to guide you when selecting your fabric
- The layplan which shows you how to arrange the pattern on the fabric, and
- A list of notions you will need and the fabric requirements
*Fabric and other notions are not included with this pattern
