Kowhai Flower Cross Stitch Pattern, Native New Zealand Flower, PDF Instant Download
This is a digital file
This is a cross stitch pattern of the iconic Kiwi Kowhai flower, based on the NZ two cent coin.
Kōwhai trees grow throughout the country and are a common feature in New Zealand gardens. The kōwhai flowers are widely regarded as being New Zealand's national flower. The word kōwhai is the Māori word for the colour yellow, because of the colour of the flowers.
The finished design measures 13cm x 13 cm (5 inches), when stitched on 16ct Aida. This design uses three colours of floss, yellow, green and brown. Only full cross stitches are required for this pattern.
You will need cotton floss in each of the three colours and white 16ct Aida measuring around 18cm x 18cm, an embroidery hoop is optional but recommended.
Your New Zealand Kowhai flower pattern will be available for download as a 2 page PDF.
