INTERMEDIATE level chainmaille project
Colorful Rondo a la Byzantine Instructions
Use aluminum and anodized aluminum rings to create the now classic Rondo a la Byzantine weave, my most popular weave. You'll combine two popular weaves—Helm with Byzantine—and will learn how to create a subtly reversible color scheme.
**Prerequisite - fluency with Helm Chain. Rondo a la Byzantine builds upon the Helm Chain weave, so you must know how to do that before beginning, as Helm is not stepped out in the tutorial. Check out our tutorial for Helm Chain: https://www.etsystudio.com/listing/474701259/chainmaille-tutorial-helm-chain-beginner ** If you would like to purchase a hard copy of Helm, please message me!
Mhai O Mhai provides kits for this weave. Kits can be purchased here: https://www.etsystudio.com/listing/505139880/
These instructions are in the form of a PDF and include 4 full-color, print-quality pages--detailing each and every step (after you've created your Helm Chain base) with clear, descriptive text and excellent photos--plus a cover page with ring counts and a final page with color planning ring counts and ideas. 6 pages in total! Both right- and left-handed PDFs are included.
This is an original pattern created by Rebeca Mojica for Blue Buddha Boutique.

Returns & exchanges
- Custom or personalized orders

- Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Check your order as soon as you receive it. Refunds, credits and exchanges are available only if items are returned within 15 days after receiving the items. All products must be in the same condition as when sent to you. No exceptions - be sure to closely examine your order as soon as it arrives to retain your eligibility for refunds/exchanges.
If you received incorrect items in your order, let us know and we will immediately ship you the correct items. You must let us know within 7 days of receiving your order. Defective merchandise will be replaced or repaired at no charge for up to 30 days. Contact us and let us know what is broken.
Refunds and exchanges for non-defective merchandise are subject to a restocking fee* of $5 or 5%, whichever is greater. (We enforce this on packets of jump rings and kits because we must carefully inspect the item to ensure it hasn't been used. Yes, we know YOU would never try to return jump rings after using them, but trust us, other people do. We don't want to re-sell mangled rings, so we inspect and re-weigh all kits/jump rings that are returned to us. Thanks for understanding this policy.)
Note that instructions (PDFs, books, DVDs, etc) are NOT RETURNABLE — due to technological inventions such as the photocopier, scanner, DVD burner, etc.
Again, we are happy to speak with you before you place your order, to make sure you're ordering exactly what you need and to reduce the possibilities of you needing to return an item. If you have a problem with your purchase, we will give your situation the attention and respect that it deserves. We can't solve every issue, but we certainly try our hardest!
To return items for a refund/credit or exchange, please message us first. Then carefully package the items and send to:
