This sampler is based on an undated sampler attributed to the Ackworth School, a Quaker school founded in 1779. These samplers were made between the late 1700s and early 1800s by pupils as a sample of their needlework skills.
The alphabet and numbers are based on a traditional design. However I have changed some letters, and added others to create a full modern alphabet and numerals.
