This is another of my custom blends and this time I've tried to create a blend that will make strong and long-wearing socks. If you're anything at all like me, you might be a little hard on your socks and seem to be constantly adding a pair to your darning pile (why does that pile never seem to get smaller?!). I began with Cheviot (a tougher wool that comes in at around 30-35 microns) which has been superwash treated so it'll have a nicer hand and also won't be likely to felt. Next I added in some Kid Mohair and nylon to add strength and softness. I feel like this blend is a good compromise between comfort and strength
Colorway: EXPB12 Fiber: 60/20/20 SW Cheviot/Mohair/Nylon Weight: 4oz. Care Instructions: Although the Cheviot and nylon are both safe for machine washing, mohair does have a tendency to felt so I would recommend hand washing (unless you have a very gentle cycle on your machine).
I've done my best to get an accurate photo of the color but monitors vary and the color may be slightly different in person. Colors may bleed slightly on first wash (though I take care to ensure no colors bleed on the final rinse) but should not affect the actual color of the yarn. Dyed with professional quality acid dyes.
I do have cats in my home and I do my best to keep them away from any yarn and fiber, but stray hairs do have a way of floating around.

Allergen information: All items come from a smoke-free home that is cat-friendly. I am a foster home for a local shelter so I almost always have several kitties in my home. I do my best to make sure that they never come in contact with any of my yarn or fiber but I cannot guarantee that a few stray hairs here and there might not hitch a ride. ;)
