Platinum Indigo top class silicone elastomer which vulcanize at room temperature with very low linear retraction (close to 0%). High mechanical strength and low viscosity allow to create high resistant and flexible moulds with high fidelity of reproduction. Vacuum degassing is not required for most applications. INDOGO is indicated to the realization of complex moulds with undercuts, suitable for the reproduction in gypsum, concrete, wax and resin. For your work with pleasure.
3 oz of silicone (component A) 3 oz of catalyst (component B) 2 mixers Protective gloves (one pair).

Main instructions for silicones Store and use material at room temperature (73F/23C). Warmer temperatures will drastically reduce working time and cure time. Storing material at warmer temperatures will also reduce the usable shelf life of unused material. These products have limited shelf life and should be used as soon as possible.
After dispensing required amount of Parts A and B into mixing container (1A : 1B by weight or volume), mix thoroughly making sure that you scrape the sides and bottom of mixing container several times. The rubber should be uniform colour with no streaks. For best result pour your mixture in single spot at the lowest point of containment field. Let the rubber seek its own level. Uniform flow will help minimize entrapped air. Product feature relatively low viscosities making vacuum degassing optional and is not required for most applications.
Physical life of mould depend of using conditions (casted materials, frequency). Casting abrasive materials such as concrete can quickly erode mould details, while casting non-abrasive materials (wax) will not affect mould details. Before storing mould should be cleaned with soap water and wiped fully dry. Two part (or more) moulds should be assembled. Mould should be stored on level surface in cool and dry environment.
Platinum Series is poly-adition silicone and may be subject to inhibition phenomena. The following materials are incompatible: amines, metal salts, sulphur and some modelling clays. If in doubt, it is recommended to proceed with preliminary test. Watch video tutorial about casting molds on https://youtu.be/XFw-bZLHLNk
