Item details

This strap is handwoven in 100% mercerized cotton threads in an interesting but very effective color combination: white, olive green and palest pink. Sounds crazy, I know, but it is good. Really.

I'd call it a heavy ribbon. It's woven in a combination of size 10 and size 3 threads, so it's got some body even for its small width. It is 7/16" wide and 49" long (1 yd, 1 inch/124cm), excluding a short fringe at the ends.

It would finish your sewing project with heavier fabrics beautifully -- inside a handbag or edging a coat or reinforcing a button band, for instance. It would work well with heavy fabrics, or something as light as say, medium chambray. I just want to give you an idea of its weight, not dictate what you do with it. Because you could also use it to tie things together, or to tease your kitten, or to make a keyfob. Whatever.

I've tried to demonstrate the level of drape in the photos above.

--I ship via USPS, and offer several shipping options in the shop -- please look for a shipping estimate on each individual item. Many items ship free when combined with another item.

--Items that are not marked "Made to Order" normally ship within 1-2 business days of purchase.

--If an item is "Made to Order", the listing will specify the time lag -- it may be as short as 3-5 days for a simpler piece, or more for something more complex. If you need a rush, please contact me and we'll see if I can't shoehorn it in into the schedule!

--Once the items leave my hands, they're the responsibility of the USPS. If that worries you, insurance is a great idea. Please ask if you need it!

--I try to keep shipping to my actual costs. If you overpay for shipping by a dollar or more, I will refund your overpayment, because why not?

-Paypal, Credit Card, and Etsy Gift Cards accepted. If you don't mind a bit of a wait while a check clears before I ship, then checks are fine too. Massachusetts residents will have the standard sales tax rate added.

--Please do pay within three days of purchase so I can post your package. If I don't see payment within that time frame and if I can't reach you to make arrangements to the contrary, I'll assume there was a mistake and cancel the sale.

Additional policies

I love custom orders. Please contact me to begin a discussion about what you are looking for. My custom orders policy is that once we reach an agreement, I will make a private listing for 50% of the purchase price (minus shipping) upfront before beginning.

If I need to send samples for color approval, etc. that will be added to the final cost at the end (and we'll discuss that beforehand so you don't get surprised).

When the item is complete, I will create a reserved listing to resolve the balance remaining, plus the shipping cost, and then ship to you via USPS First Class with a tracking number. If you'd prefer another shipping method, just ask.
