This listing is for (100) bow tie clips at $0.50 each. Each bow tie clip closes vertically leaving the collar edges entirely free - unlike standard bow tie clips. Considered a safe alternative to elastic or fabric straps, they are zinc plated with levers that are healthier for the body and conform to the standards of the E.U. I use this same product in all of my clip-on bow ties. They are sturdy and easy to work with.
SKILL LEVEL: Medium. A button stitch is required and some minor hand-sewing to secure the clip to your bow tie fabric. You can opt to just use some E6000 or other type of glue.
TUTORIALS: Bow tie clip how to - using the Button Hole Method (http://youtu.be/0p7RfjSVCas) and the Non-Button Hole Method (http://youtu.be/V7wbqfudD-k) of wrapping the middle strap.
SIZING: This clip can be used to create bow ties for toddlers to adults.
FASTENING THE BRACKET: Each bow tie clip comes with an optional bracket to secure the end of your fabric to the clip. The bracket can be fastened with a 3/16" nut driver that can be purchased at any hardware store. The tie clips can be used with or without the brackets, are sturdy and are easy to work with.

WEARING TIPS: With the type of bow ties I make, I like to slip the clip into the top button whole of the shirt. It looks tons better than having it flushed up against the bottom of the chin.
