Offered here is an amazing piece of original Hollywood Regency fabric. This fabric has a raised (3D)pattern of Corinthian scrollwork with an alternating pattern of theater drape that was very popular in the 30's. The colors on this fabric are truest in photo number 2. Because of this fabric having a high rayon fiber content, it has a tendency to change with the light and the colors are a very light teal green on a shimmering gold background. This is a lovely, very large and very heavy piece of pieced fabric that was actually a bedspread measuring 96" long by 104" wide. This bedspread has a seam that runs directly down the middle just like the older style woven overshot coverlets from the 20's and a seam that would delineate the pillow area from the rest of the spread. I am selling this lovely piece as fabric because there is a single small cigarette burn to the fabric that could be repaired and is very small (1/3" in diameter) and one seam has a 1" separation, but other than these two minor flaws this fabric is clean and very solid with no spots or staining. This is an exceptional example of heirloom quality Hollywood Regency era fabric...you will not be disappointed.
