The Bailey beanie is amazing because it looks great on both guys and girls! Plus, it is such a fun and relaxing design. This pattern uses a variety of different knitting techniques to help you master the basics. The pattern includes detailed instructions and plenty of pictures to help you along the way, so it is perfect for those who are new to knitting in the round.
To create the Bailey beanie, you will need 1 skein (approximately 100 yards) of bulky weight yarn in the color of your choice; a set of size 13 circular knitting needles; scissors; and a yarn needle. I used Plymouth Yarns Baby Alpaca Grande in Dark Grey (403). You will also need to know how to knit and purl, how to do the long-tail cast on, and how to decrease (K2tog). It's all quite simple! I recommend this pattern for beginner to intermediate knitters.
You may sell whatever you make using this pattern, but please reference The Chesapeake Needle as the sole owner of the pattern in the description. You may not claim ownership of this pattern; you may not use my photos and/or instructions for any purpose other than to knit the Bailey beanie yourself; and you may not share, sell, or distribute my pattern in any way.
