Having created multiple cowls that fit loosely around the neck, I wanted to try something different this time. I wanted one that fit closer to the neck, similar to a turtleneck, and that would slump beautifully on the wearer. And this is it.
HOW IT IS WORKED
The piece is worked in the round, turning at the beginning of each to present a straight but unnoticeable seam. The stitch pattern creates a soft and loose fabric that slouches slightly when worn. A border of shells and picots are worked around the top, giving the cowl top more character.
