We are offer to you one Lemon Eucalyptus growing in a 4" square container. Don't leave it in here...pot it up immediately. I have a funny story to tell about the Lemon Eucalyptus. First of all, you will love the lemony, citronella scent that drives mosquitoes away. The other thing is: don't be fooled by this lanky looking innocent plant. If you intend for it to stay smaller, then be sure to keep it in a pot. It will still grow tall but slowly. If you put it in the ground, expect it to shoot up to a towering 40 feet in the first year! You will be impressed with how quickly it's grown and the nice white decorative bark it has...yet, I don't know how many mosquitoes it's repelling way up there in the sky! ;-) Many years ago, I had no idea this was in fact, a tree! I planted all of my leftover stock in the ground so they would not die and wow....I got a huge surprise when it took off to the clouds. The size of your plant will depend on when you order it. They grow very quickly as I've said but if you are buying a fresh batch, height could be only 4-6".
Repels mosquitoes, fleas and ticks. Crush dried leaves around your home to keep insects at bay!
Before going outside in the evening crush a few leaves in your hands to extract the oil and relax as bugs avoid you instead of biting. This tree is perfect for backyards where barbecues and family reunions are often held because it will repel bugs away from your guests.
The Lemon Eucalyptus Tree is an extremely versatile evergreen tree. You can use it as a large shade tree if planted outdoors because it quickly reaches heights of 50-60 tall.
However, if kept in a container this tree will stay small and even flourish indoors. If you live outside of its recommended growing zones simply place your tree in a container and place it near a large sunny window inside.
Whether the Lemon Eucalyptus is inside or out its beauty will capture the attention of onlookers with its lush green leaves and smooth grey trunk. It's the ideal patio or poolside tree with both its function as a pest repellant and striking beauty.
This low maintenance eucalyptus variety easily survives in a variety of different conditions, like poor soil or droughts. Simply plant it and watch it thrive. This container tree doesn't need any babying.
