This listing is for a tutorial that can be used to create my Fall Flame LEAF & BAIL ONLY. There is a ombre rope, designed to be worn with this leaf, appearing in the October 2016 Bead & Button Magazine, page 24. I also sell a tutorial for the entire set, Leaf, Bail, and Rope, here in my Etsy Shop at:
Fall Flame necklace was inspired by the beauty of Maple leaves as they float to the ground, with their gently curling edges. The leaf curls just like the real thing, and displays a beautiful range of color, from golden yellow to flame orange, blood red, and an ashy edge reminiscent of Autumn bonfire embers. That edge also makes the piece look great with denim, a staple in most wardrobes.
The 29 page, detailed tutorial is intended for the intermediate beader, although the bail presents some more advanced challenges. It includes illustrations, diagrams, charts and photographs, with lots of explanatory text to help you along your way. The project requires comfort with Peyote stitch and combines Herringbone with Peyote in the bail.
The tutorial gives bead selections for three colorways, pictured here in the listing, but the possibilities are endless. The tutorial gives advice on how to select colors that will work well together, and even provides a layout tool for a colorway you design yourself.
