The Hebden Gilet Jacket is an easy-to-wear extra layer for your toddler or youngster, helping to maintain their core temperature as the temperatures start to fall.

The gilet can be quickly slipped on over a T-shirt or top when they are playing outside and provides extra warmth without restricting their arm movements. It can be worn open or snapped shut with large feature press-studs. The jacket is worked in a soft merino wool yarn and the pattern includes four sizes to suit boys or girls aged from 2 - 8 years.

Average review
It is bold but I am unlikely to knit with double yarn again. Ifound it hard work to make. Also I had to work at understanding the pattern. I managed some form of 'grafting' the shoulder seams but needed a cast-off method to secure it. That is I knitted, from two shoulder needles, together; then cast off the fourteen stitches without a knitting yarn. ie. one stitch over the other along the row. Your picture looks good: my work, as I stated, bold, perhaps lumpy. Regards, Colin Sawyer Star rating therefore difficult!
