This is a lot of 2 Victorian metal and mother-of-pearl buttons from the late 1800's. The larger button has a silver-tone metal rim (probably tin) and a brass back; the center is set with abalone shell. It's 1-7/16" in diameter and in good condition for its age: the mop has light scratches and the metal has darkened with age. The other button has an embossed brass rim and tinted back. It's 1-3/16" in diameter and is in very good condition with some light scratches on the mop. Both buttons have self-shanks with large holes. Neither has any rust or corrosion.

Shipping & policies
Shipping charges include tracking on most U.S. orders and insurance on most orders over $50.00. I'm happy to combine shipping charges whenever possible. Contact me before you buy if you feel that the combined shipping charges seem out of line - I can package and weigh your items and give you an accurate shipping quote. Also, if you need a shipping upgrade (to Priority from Standard, for example), contact me before you purchase so I can change the listing for you.
I'm sorry, but I do not ship to China, Indonesia, Syria, Iraq, or Africa. I also will not ship orders over $50.00 to the following countries (my preferred insurer will not insure them): Russia, Bolivia, Venezuela, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, India, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Bosnia, Iran, Pakistan, Brazil, Peru, Panama, Jordan.
FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:
Please understand that I will only fill out customs forms with accurate information, and you'll be responsible for any duties or taxes. It's your responsibility to find out what charges your government may apply. If an item is returned because you did not pay the VAT, please note that shipping charges will not be refunded.
It's also your responsibility to be aware of any restrictions/regulations regarding the importation of any item you purchase, including, but not limited to, furs, precious metals, coral, clothing, etc. I will not be responsible for items confiscated by your government.
PLEASE DON'T ASK ME TO RESERVE ITEMS! I simply can't hold merchandise until you can afford to pay for it. If you see items in my shop that are reserved, it's for another reason, such as combining shipping or a price change.
I accept Paypal and credit cards. You can pay with a credit card through Paypal without having an account. I also now accept Etsy Payments. Sorry, but I no longer accept checks or money orders.
Returns & exchanges
Please be sure that your address is absolutely correct (including your apartment number). If your package is returned to me because you supplied an incorrect address, you will have to pay to re-ship.
My home is smoke-free, but we do have dogs. Condition of textiles: Unless I say an item is "pristine" or "perfect" you should assume that vintage/antique clothing, linens, lace, etc. will show signs of use or age. They will not look as though they were made yesterday! I'll make every effort to describe items accurately and will point out flaws and deficiencies. Following are some guidelines about condition : Excellent: Without damage but may show some evidence of age or use. Very Good: A bit more signs of wear but no obvious flaws, such as stains or holes. Good: May have minor stains or obvious signs of repairs or small holes but is still usable and/or displays well. Fair: Has obvious flaws and may be in fragile condition. Please remember: Never wash anything vintage in the washing machine! Older textiles should only be gently hand washed, and since I prefer to sell only things ready for use or display, most of my items have already been washed. Exceptions are fragile items or things unsuited to immersion in water. Please contact me with questions about condition before
purchasing an item.
