Late November found me reluctantly bracing for the coming winter. But early one morning I heard two chickadees conversing in a nearby tree, and I thought ahead to February when their "tune" will change to mating calls ... a sure and wonderful sign of spring.
It didn't take me long to conjure up a new wool applique design featuring two of these enthusiastic conversationalists chatting over a breakfast of frozen crab apples.
Available as a pattern, or kit, or both pattern and kit combined (make your choice in the drop-down to the right), your completed masterpiece will measure 34" tall x 15" wide, not counting the hanging tabs.
Your pattern is packed into a clear 9" x 12" zip lock bag. Its contents include a cover page with a color photograph of the completed piece (same as the first photo shown above), two pages of detailed instructions, a page of pattern elements, and a line drawing of the entire wall hanging, comprised of eight pages which you will be instructed to trim as required, and then tape together; this will be your detailed layout reference. Also included is a page with all the fabric requirements.
IF you order the pattern/kit combination, you will receive the 34" x 15" black background wool piece cut to size, and all the other wool you see in the photos for this project. The floss and the backing fabric are not included, since most stitchers have their own strong preferences for what to use for thread and backing.
