- three Christmas angels with harp, trumpet and candle.
My shop Kugelig also offers the complete set of Nativity figurines: Mary and baby Jesus, Joseph, crib with star of Bethlehem and sheep, shepherd, ox and donkey as well as the Three Wise Men.
*** DIY with the cutting plotter: 3 Christmas Angels ***
These three very decorative angels are held in a simple but festive design and they can be crafted quickly by using a cutting plotter and the template by Kugelig.com. Holding a candle, a trumpet and a harp, these precious figurines bring a special light to your home during the Christmas season. The trio look impressive by themselves but can also be extended by adding further characters from the Christmas story – all of which are available in the shop as well.
*** Material Recommendations ***
Paper makes for an ideal material for this DIY project – monochromatic or patterned. SnapPap as well as metal foil also achieves beautiful results, SnapPap is best suited if the figurines are not just intended as Christmas decoration but as children’s toys. Due to the rigidity and tear resistance of the material, sturdy puppets are can be created that even smaller kids can play with. Using transparent or waxed paper in combination with LED tea lights can transform the Nativity figurines into small table lanterns.
The possibilities for individualising the provided templates are limitless. In order to guarantee correct cutting, it is recommended to create figurines of at least 5cm in size. The picture shows examples with a height of 8cm. There are no limitations when it comes to producing larger figurines.
For elements of 8cm in height, 1 pages of DIN A4 paper or any other material of choice are required.
*** Construction ***
There is no need for glue or any other tools as the figurines are put together simply by pushing the tab through the slot at the back. This is already included in the cutting plotter template.
Tip: After cutting a figurine, carefully roll the material first to avoid creases before eventually putting it together.
