Item details

Step on back to the early 20th century. You always knew that not every girl was cut out for city life. Adventurous young women blazed the trails westward too. Think Annie Oakley and you are on the right track. Shooting, roping, and riding bucking beasts with the traveling rodeo wasn't just for men. It sold more seats if a pretty young woman was doing the entertaining. Since there was no catalog women's rodeo attire, folks like Prairie Rose Henderson or Texas Lil had to design their own clothes. This jacket is based on those vintage costumes.

The jacket is unlined and features princess seams to make it flattering. It also has a shawl collar and set-in sleeves. There are three different shoulder yoke variations, two different types of cuffs as well as two different styles of pockets. Mix and match. It also has a belt option to accentuate the waist. Leather, suede, silk, denim or velvet are just some of the materials that will work well on this jacket. The insert has additional suggestions for embellishments such as embroidery, lace, or fringe. You could easily make several with a completely different look to suit your mood.

The pattern has cutting lines for sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, and 2X. Check the back of the pattern for measurements and yardage. (Shown above)

Folkwear has been in business a long time and is still in business today. Ursula's Alcove is a licensed dealer. This pattern is new, not used or vintage.
