FAQs

No worries. Your download is always available to you. Just go to the tab that says "You" and select "Purchases & Reviews" in the drop down menu. You will see all your purchases there with download links.

The embroidery files are machine instructions for your embroidery machine. To view these files on a computer you will need software specifically designed for this.

If you haven't started using these for you fonts yet, you are in for a very pleasant surprise. BX allows you to type the letters rather than bringing them in as images. Saves lots of time! Embrilliance offers free software to read these files and save your design to your machine format. It's called Embrilliance Express and is available here: http://embrilliance.com/express I include BX format with all of my fonts.

I have put together some written material for beginners. It is available on my blog, or just message me and I'd be happy to email it to you.

Yes, I do custom designs. Generally you provide the artwork and I turn it into an embroidery design for you. Custom designs cost between $15 and $25 depending upon the complexity and the quality of the artwork. Custom Designs are not instant download. I put up a reserved listing for you and I start the design once it has been purchased. They generally take 3-5 days and I email you the design once it is complete.

When you resize a design without digitizing software, it almost always causes some kind of problem. Editing software is for combining and moving but doesn't recalculate stitch density or stitch lengths. It just moves the stitches. Making designs larger can cause gaps because it moved the stitches farther apart to make the design bigger. This can also violate maximum stitch rules which will cause your machine to skip those stitches. Making designs smaller can also violate minimum stitch rules which will cause your machine to skip those stitches. If you need one of my designs you've purchased resized - just message me. I am happy to resize it for you at no charge.
