The Blue Douglas Fir is considered one of the noblest forest trees, very ornamental, an excellent specimen for grouping or mass planting. Best planted in dry, windy areas of the midwest. It makes a nice short needle Christmas tree. The Rocky Mountain Douglas Fir can reach heights of 40 to 80 feet. Will grow 12 to 15 feet over a 10 year period.
