This listing is for TEN YARDS of White SolarFix® PTFE in a thin, very strong, 3ply thread - comparable to size 92 polyester thread. The 10 yards will come in one piece, wrapped neatly and without kinks. (PFTE is the same substance used in Gore-Tex™, also called Tenara™)
This color beautifully complements silver, gold, bronze, and irridescent beads.
See my other listings for Brick, Brown and Charcoal Grey.
An 8 oz. spool of SolarFix™ will cost you $100 or more - 10 yards will allow you to experiment and test your designs, including braiding, crocheting and knotting, without the hefty investment.
PFTE is an incredibly strong synthetic thread that used for for sewing weather resistant items such as ski parkas and massive sails. It is impervious to salt, sun & sweat, won't fray, and has a great drape (perfect for jewelry that lays next to the skin, at the pool or beach,).
SolarFix® is lubricated and has just enough body to go through the tiniest bead holes without a needle. Use jeweler's glue to hold the knot.
See examples of artist Jill Platner's work with PFTE thread in the necklace photos.
Its durability and ease of use makes excellent for stringing pearls and other valuable gems, for use with leather, and making Chan Luu style wrap bracelets.
Your thread will come in one length wrapped on a card, free of kinks.
