This listing is for a baby deer bib sewing pattern. This sweet little deer bib will make mealtime so much fun! No doubt it will be the cutest bib your baby owns. It can be for a boy or a girl, so this is perfect when you don't yet know the gender of the baby.
Pair it with a baby deer onesie for a coordinated ensemble for that discriminating baby! The pattern for the onesie is in my shop, sold separately from bib pattern. See pic #3.
This bib is super quick and easy to make - perfect for a last minute baby shower gift, birthday, or Christmas present.
For tips and tricks on sewing, I'll be posting videos and tutorials to make your sewing experience a good one at fanniejane.com
Difficulty rating: Beginner friendly pattern. I work very hard to make my patterns easy to follow, and fun to make. I'm always here to help if there are any questions.
Materials Needed: Fabric for bib front and deer, terrycloth for back, thread, fusible stabilizer, fusible web, plastic or metal snap, (or velcro if you prefer) and an iron. I recommend using a sewing machine to securely stitch the design onto the fabric, but you could do it by hand. Optional: Fabric paint and stencil brush for rosy cheeks, black fabric marker to draw arms and legs.
Suggested Fabrics: 100% cotton fabrics. I don’t recommend any fabrics with nylon content as they will melt when fusing the applique with an iron. You could probably get away with a cotton/polyester blend if your iron isn’t set too high.
Dimensions: The bib measures approximately 10” across and 12” long from top of neck closure to bottom of bib.
Just my humble opinion: I would much rather give a handmade gift than one purchased at a big box store which was mass produced in a factory somewhere overseas. I feel a handmade gift is a gift of love. If you don't have the time or desire to make one yourself - no problem - I'll lovingly create one for you.
I believe in handmade. Actually, I'm so passionate about handmade I decided to create an online community where all of us who feel the same way can gather. I hope you will visit and join us. If you want to be kept up to date add your name to my mailing list and I'll let you know whenever anything new and exciting is happening! I'll also be offering tips and tricks on sewing and other handcrafts, including videos and tutorials to make your sewing experience a good one. I'm building the site as you read this. I hope to see you there. I can't wait to meet all of you.
