This stone is a beautiful example of number 8 turquoise. I purchased it from a lapidary in San Fransisco in 1973. All of this cutters rough material was purchased in Nevada. The stone is natural and measures 16mm x 22mm x 4mm thick. The shape is triangular with a flat top and is backed. The brown web, characteristic of this material, is evenly distributed throughout. Would be stunning if set in karat gold as a ring.
