Item details

Wapak Holloware No 7 Cast Iron Skillet

The Company was started in early 1900's and they were bankrupt before the great depression. Their hometown was Wapakoneta or Auglaize County Ohio.

Wapak is widely collected and extremely well known. The difficulty is finding high quality examples of their work. Their casting process was a bit primitive compared to some of the larger manufacturers. This particular skillet has been cleaned and is ready to season its right around average for a Wapak, It sets okay and the cooking surface is a bit uneven. It would make a fine cornbread pan or work just fine other baking needs.
