Jewellery making die| jewellery die uk| jewelry die uk| metal clay mold| polymer clay mold| 214
This is an amazing bronze jewellery making die made in India. Bronze is usually an alloy of brass and tin.
You get the actual die in the picture.
Jewellery making dies can be used to imprint onto sheet metal, or used with metal or polymer clay as a mold, it may be helpful to clean the die to remove dust and oils with a soft toothbrush and water and washing up liquid making sure you dry it thoroughly.
Imprinting on sheet metal you can use a press or you can do it manually with a heavy hammer . I would recommend you watch some tutorials online and practice on cheaper metals whilst you get the hang of it.

You can use a material as a "pusher" such as lead to push the metal into the detail of the die.

DISCLAIMER regarding the use of lead
Lead is a well known toxin and can be very dangerous to humans and animals. Should you choose to use lead I strongly recommend you ensure you are clear on how to handle it safely. The health and safety executive have some helpful guidance on how to mitigate and lower risk to health and the environment.
At the very least you should be wearing suitable gloves, protective clothing (as it can absorb into your skin), keep it stored separately to your other metals.
Small particles or fumes from melting can also be very toxic. Wear a suitable respirator. Keep out of reach and sight of children especially. Wash the metals you are using to imprint onto and the dies well after using lead.
This list is not exhaustive, it is your responsibility to take proper precautions, I accept no responsibility for you choosing to use lead, this is your informed choice.
