Using traditional tam construction, the knitting instructions are clear and easy to work, taking all the stress out of knitting a colorwork tam. The pattern features detailed instructions, photos, and easy to follow charts for a medium size hat.
The tam is knitted in the round from the bottom up.
Techniques: knitting in the round, stranded knitting with two colors, long floats, reading a chart, centered double decrease.
Sizes: 21" (53.5 cm) band Band has negative ease
Gauge: 8 stitches=1 inch 32 stitches x 32 rounds=4 inches (10cm) in stranded work on larger needles
Needles: US#2 (2.75mm) & US#3 (3mm) 16" (40 cm) circular needles US#3 (3mm) DPN Ribbing is worked on smaller needles
