Shipping & policies
I use USPS Priority Mail for most items shipped in the US; USPS First Class may be used for smaller items like jewelry and scarves.
I am happy to ship internationally! I use USPS First Class International shipping for most items, but am happy to ship USPS Priority or USPS Express Mail--just ask for costs. Also note that First Class International mail has weight (up to 4 pounds) and size restrictions that may require packages being sent via USPS Priority.
Buyers outside the US, please note that customs forms must be filled out accurately and honestly. Please be aware of customs laws and duties in your country before importing. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges, and are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up.
Shipping Addresses: Please note that I will ship to the Confirmed Address shown on your PayPal payment. If this address and the one shown on your Etsy order are different, I will ship to the PayPal address, unless prior arrangement has been made.
I am currently only accepting Paypal or direct credit card payments.
Note: You do not need a Paypal account to use their services. Please choose Paypal as your payment method at checkout. After your order has been submitted, click "Pay Now" and a little ways down the screen you will see the option to pay with credit or debit card – no sign-up necessary!
Returns & exchanges
When purchasing clothing, hats, or shoes please carefully verify your own measurements. Most vintage clothing does not have a size on it so you will need to get out your tape measure. Even vintage items that do have sizes need to ave measurements verified. A 1920s size 12 is NOT the same as a modern size 12. Even modern sizing is not consistent among different brands. The tape measure is your friend, not your enemy!
Note that the measurements given are the measurements of the *garment*, not of the person who will wear it. It is always important to make sure to allow a couple inches for comfortable fit, as straining against vintage fabric is not a good idea (unless it is a fabric with a fair amount of stretch). In other words, If the waist measurement given is 28", your waist should measure 25"-26" for the garment to fit you comfortably.
A helpful hint for determining whether a vintage item will fit you is to compare the measurements given with that of a similar garment that does fit you.
Most of the items I currently sell are vintage USED items. This means they have had a life of their own before they came to me. I do my very best to describe any and all flaws or damage that I can find. I am not a smoker and I do not have pets in my shop but I cannot guarantee what situations these items come from. I try to avoid any items that smell of smoke. Most of my stock comes from estate sales and auctions.
I do sell some custom made items including corsets, hats, and vintage clothing reproductions. I will always state in my description which items have been custom created.
