Item details

This is a one-of-a-kind piece handmade by myself. This is a 5 x 7 wooden frame colored "Dragon Fruit" pink. It has been treated to look like rustic, weathered wood with crackle revealing a warm white underneath the coral-like pink. Inside on a 5 x 7 piece of art card that has been painted with an array of pink, orange, warm yellow, and a hint of purple watercolors, is a flower display made with real pressed flowers. Those include pink (dyed) Columbines, Daisies, yellow Baby's Breath, yellow Multicules, large cream & violet Daisy, and fern - family greenery. They have a high gloss sealant on them to protect against UV rays and fading. The pictures -- I had to use a flash to cut thru the glass glare, so I apologize that it may be difficult to see great detail.
The piece is called "Daydreams."

The standard shipping method is Priority Mail via the USPS to ensure faster delivery and more delicate handling. Please message me before payment if you are interested in insurance. Delivery confirmation is standard on all shipments. Please do let me know if there is any damage to your pressed flower art when it arrives. I don't want anyone to be stuck with a damaged piece of art, so we can work out a way to fix it!

No returns accepted, but please do let me know if you have any issues. Every situation is different.

Additional policies

In order to keep your pressed flower art looking vibrant indefinitely, make sure to hang or display the piece indoors, and preferably out of direct light. Each piece does have layers of protectant on it, but no matter how much I put on, a piece that sits in direct, beating sunlight day after day after day will fade. On a wall in your home, out of direct sunlight, it will last! You can also refresh the coating and shine on your piece at any time by buying an aerosol can of high gloss acrylic. You can usually find this at a hobby store, or even at Home Depot or Lowe's. It must be aerosol. Hold the can about six inches from the piece and lightly spray on the coating. I refresh pieces I have at home all the time. The wonderful thing about the aerosol acrylic is that the coats do not build upon one another and get gummy. If you have a piece of art of old fencing or barn wood, you can refresh the sheen by buying an aerosol polyurethane spray and doing the same thing. Again, polyurethane does not protect the piece enough to hang it outdoors in the sun and elements. The flowers will lose their colors.
You can dust a piece by using canned air--the same type of air duster you would use for a computer keyboard.
