Abalone is a naturally occurring shell, gloss finished, drilled by me. These are true gems of nature, enjoy!............
History - Locally known as Paua, this shellfish is a species of abalone (Haliotis Iris). Found only in seas around New Zealand, this marine mollusc eats seaweed and clings to rocks at depths of 1-10 meters along the coast.
Paua shell is the most colorful of all the abalone shells. Beautiful!
It is a beautiful way to re-purpose and recycle colorful sea treasures and are delightful for jewelry like pendants, earrings, charms, scrap-booking, crafts, décor, or anything else you may want to get creative with.
See photo for the piece you will receive.
