Paraffin Wax is the most commonly used wax for candle making. It is a by-product of the process of refining petroleum oil or lube oil. This wax is defined in the industry as fully refined-consisting of only hydrogen and carbon molecules. Fully refined wax that is used in candle making is white in colour when solid, and as clear as water when melted.
