This sale is for 1, 3, or 5 each 1 to 2 foot long cuttings of Aloe Ciliaris.
This South African Native has proven to thrive in Southern California and other temperate climates. Known as the climbing Aloe due to its long slender stems growing upward it is a fast grower that can take an occasional frost. This drought tolerant succulent is a perfect addition to any Xeriscape and will and lots of color and texture. This plant flowers in December in California and produces ornamental red flowers on long 1 foot stems.
Due to its climbing nature this plant can be trained to grow in many different fashions. When under certain stressful conditions it can also produce chocolate brown or red hues in the leaves. With these cuttings you can get creative as your imagination lets you.
These cuttings are easy to establish with standard cactus mix. I always recommend coating the end that is going in the soil with a rooting hormone. You can also lay them on their side to produce multiple rosettes of leaves along the stem.
